In mid-February, we held our very first BIT Entrepreneurship Summit. Eight successful entrepreneurs from Koudougou and Ouagadougou inspired and motivated our students with their personal success stories on the road to their flourishing enterprises – stories written in this country, Burkina Faso. Presenting the results of the workshop week, the students had the opportunity to pitch their own ideas in front of this experienced jury and got valuable feedback for further developing and presenting their future business ideas. The day was closed by two plenum discussions moderated by our dean Rodrigue Kabore that dealt with the topics on start-up ecosystems in Burkina Faso and the founders’ journey from idea to a minimum viable product. A great success for all participants – students, entrepreneurs, and organizers!
